Hidden Falls at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park, October 9, 2009Erik and I went hiking on Friday in Nerstrand Big Woods. I really wanted to take some pictures of the little waterfall. The area had just received about 3 inches of rain so I was hoping it would be flowing a bit more that it does in late summer. We had a nice time hiking around. There was a large school group there too, but once we got out of the main picnic area we didn't see or hear much of them. We also went to Sakatah State Park, but we weren't really thrilled with the park. We had a nice hike and Erik made up a little finding game that we played on our hike. We also saw a big buck (6 point) dead on the side of the trail. That was kind of sad. All in all, we had a nice day in southern Minnesota.
